A long time ago I saw most of a movie called "Down to Shanghai" or something
like that -- I'm sure about Shanghai -- with W.C Fields, George Burns and
Gracie Allen, Al Jolson (I think) and a cast of unknowns.  I remember that
Fields had a very strange plane, and they "do things different (backwards)
in Shanghai."

I'm posting to this newsgroup because I remember Gracie talking about her
mother learning to speak French to talk to the baby.

Anyone remember this film?  I remember that I really enjoyed it...
