I hereby  propose the  formation of the first  SEASONAL  newsgroup,  one
devoted to that  hardiest of all  vegetables,  the rabbit of the garden,
the only known  plant that  triples its size  overnight  (we're  talking
about in the DARK here, folks), the living PROOF that too much of a good
thing is at the very least more than the freezer  can hold, yes folks, I
am referring to that humble terrorist that lurks between the carrots and
the broccoli, the ZUCCHINI SQUASH.

This  newsgroup  will only operate for a few months each summer,  during
which time it will fill the void (heh heh) left behind by the  departure
of of the  students  all over  the Net.  Understand,  now,  no-one  will
actually  SUBSCRIBE to this  newsgroup.  It will merely be a  convenient
mechanism for putting all that zucchini  somewhere  out of the way (a la
net.religion).  Who knows,  maybe  we'll  need a  net.cooks.zucchini  as
well, to help  dispose of those  zucchini  that get shot  trying to post
themselves to the wrong newsgroup.

(Well  now, if you have read this far you  deserve to have it made clear
that yes, of course, I am only KIDDING.  But the sad truth is, even as I
apologize for the weight of this particular  zucchini, we both know it's
only a tender morsel  compared to SOME of the electronic  squash in this
silicon garden!)
