Looking at my collection of Coke bottles here, I see that the "a" in Coca has a tail and there is a short hyphen above the tail, which could be construed as an "i." However, I also have Coke bottles from Israel with the Coke logo in Hebrew, and there is a short dash between the Coca and the Cola. This dash does not signify the Hebrew pronunciation Cocai though the Hebrew letter for "y" does look somewhat like the dash. The pronunciation would be Cocahee if the dash were a Hebrew Y. An interesting little aside, though Hebrew is written from right to left, the letters on the Coke bottle are slanted in the same direction as the English letters, and the little dash has the same orientation (////'////). This seems to be a general property of cursive writing in English and Hebrew rather than a peculiarity of the Coke logo, I just never noticed it before.
