The exausts are exposed and can be quite hot. One trick I discovered, that prevents scarring and infection is to immediately tape with adhesive tape the affected area. This prevents a blister from forming. Since the skin never breaks, there is no chance of infection. The fluid that would have filled the blister is absorbed (probably by the lymph system). Leave the tape on for a week (seriously) when you remove it you will have a layer of dead skin over your new skin. This works believe me! Ty
