Each joystick (2 max) connects to 2 A/D converters with 6 bit resolution. This means that you can only reach one of 64 positions in each direction. This would be all right if only the cursor location did not stop as one of the limits is reached. If the cursor wrapped around to the other side, things would be fine. Unfortunately, the lack of wrap-around limits the mouse to its 4.5 by 4.5 inch cage. So it goes. Happy hacking, Dan McCabe decvax!microsof!danm
