It was a close call between it and the Prowriter; the Gemini listed for $319 and the Prowriter went for about $375. The Gemini had the advantage of a down-loadable character set and some semblance of Epson MX80 compatibility, while the Prowriter was built like a tank--it uses metal instead of plastic in its construction. Both of these are quite a bit cheaper than an Epson or Okidata equivalent. I went to Computers Plus in Littleton, MA (they do mail order, too.)
