  After reading the article about Atari dropping the 1400,1450xl
I called Atari Headquarters in Sunnyvale Cal. . They said that
they had no knowledge of any plans to drop the 1400 or 1450 and
were looking forward to the release of these 2 machines. I asked
when the new computers were coming out and it looks like the 600xl
and 800xl are coming out in October but it will be a while longer
before the 1400xl and 1450xld are available.
