Mooers The SpellBinder word processing program supports true proportional spacing. It has tables of characters widths, and the ability to create others. I haven't used it with a proportional spacing type wheel, but I am persuaded that it works well. The SpellBinder program includes a programming language, called MSPEAK, which is nice for writing little routines, and a number of specialized programs written in MSPEAK. The documentation is not as clear as it might be, however, and the formatting capabilities are not as rich as, say, the Final Word. There is no automatic numbering of sections, and no ability to make an index. SpellBinder is produced by Lexisoft, Inc. of Davis, California. ---Charlotte
