Message-ID: <281@vaxine.UUCP> Date: Mon, 8-Aug-83 16:00:37 EDT Article-I.D.: vaxine.281 Posted: Mon Aug 8 16:00:37 1983 Date-Received: Mon, 8-Aug-83 20:52:43 EDT Organization: Automatix Inc., Billerica, MA Lines: 25 In the spirit of the recent survey of longest period of time your machine was up and running without panicking, losing power, etc., I propose another trivial survey. What is the highest load average (1 minute) you have observed during normal operation of your system? (Note: this doesn't count logging in as root and starting a process that goes into an infinite fork loop). You should indicate the machine you observed the amazing feat on, how much memory your system had at the time, and anything else that might aid in calculating the overal bozoid response factor of your system under the load you indicate (:->). Please mail your responses. I'll let the survey go for a few weeks before announcing the winners. Rick Genter Automatix Inc. ...!allegra!linus!vaxine!reg P.S. We are running on a 11/750 with 1 7/8 Meg of memory (1 mem. board is sick) and we reached a 1 minute load average of 28.27 today. P.P.S. To DEC: where is our 780? Please?
