Surely children born in winter would have slightly different health problems from those born in the summer? Surely those children just missing early entry to school would be different from those just making it in? Incredibly, there is no conclusive evidence that time of birth matters at all! Yet many believe twins are born under the sign of Gemini, warmongers under the sign of Mars, and so on. Surely such beliefs, shared by > 30% of the North American public, would through social pressure be self-fulfilling? No again! Perhaps people do not take astrology seriously enough? Someone on Usenet recently announced that an astronomy society had an Astrology information packet. I sent for it and found it an interesting 2 hour read. Everything from pulp to good articles to numerous references.
