Funny that this should come up just now -- I recently received a letter
from a friend of mine who is in the Air Force OTS at Lackland AFB.  He was
bitching about getting a "hit" (demerit) during room inspection for
"toilet paper improperly displayed."  According to the USAF, the paper must
come over the top of the roll from the back, with the neatly torn-off end
at the exact center (3:00 position) of the front of the roll.

I could give many more examples in this vein (he did), but I'll spare you...
