Message-ID: <295@burl.UUCP> Date: Thu, 25-Aug-83 15:36:13 EDT Article-I.D.: burl.295 Posted: Thu Aug 25 15:36:13 1983 Date-Received: Sat, 27-Aug-83 15:29:20 EDT Organization: Western Electric, Burlington, NC Lines: 22 A quick survey: please tell me via electronic mail (NOT on the net; PLEASE no more discussions about the probability of Charmin's pronun- ciation being changed!!!) what you think of when someone mentions Mississippi (the state, not the river). I will summarize and post if there is interest; I am asking because I am from the state and heartily dislike everything > 40 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. I was reminded of my state the other day when a friend of mine brought up an ad in an early People magazine. Some airline was suggesting that you vacation with them or "You could end up on a Canasta Cruise to Biloxi". It didn't help matters that the Biloxi Hilton also had an ad in the same issue; a suit was brought and won. So many people do not realize that the Gulf Coast of Mississippi is a big tourist area and has the longest man-made white sand beach in the world. Let me know what you think of when you hear Mississippi, -- The MAD Programmer -- 919-228-3814 (Cornet 291) alias: Curtis Jackson ...![ floyd sb1 mhuxv ]!burl!rcj
