Physics Dept., W. Lafayette, IN Lines: 27 I'm not sure if this is where vnews bugs should go, but I can't think of a better place. The save article command takes FOREVER. In vnews, saving one of the 700+ line usenet map took ~40 system secs while readnews took ~2. I can see no reason for this since both seem to use tprint() from rfuncs2. A major difference is that readnews uses a fwait(fsubr()) call, but this shouldn't matter, should it? The goto article and goto parent commands seem to hang. The ID is printed, e.g. "", but nothing else happens. Again, readnews does this function correctly. Other than these, I like it. If only it could do notesfiles-like grouping and an index page, it would be almost perfect. Going back to some old article is still painful with news 2.10 in general. A complaint with news 2.10 is that the -x command takes forever also. What does it do? Try to open articles 1 to infinity? If I discover solutions to the above, I'll post them, but I thought someone else out there more familiar with it might know. By the way, we have an 11/44 running 2.8 BSD.
