This is DEC's replacement for the TS11 in their packaged 750 systems (unless you have lots of spare bucks and want the TU77/78). Specifically, what kind of performance does one get when running 'dump' onto a TU80? DEC claims 25 ips in stop/start mode (vs. 100 ips streaming).
