		Shaking

	Standing in the doorway
	(like they always 
	 told him to)
	he watched his life
	shake apart.

	The ceiling fell,
	behind,
	and he screeched
	in terror,
	hoping to live.

	Finally, after what seemed an
	eternity, the quake
	stopped and all
	was still.

	Shaking, he turned to
	see
	no damage.
