A Cry 8/30/83

Mankind, why do you kill?
With words you stab
What have I done to you?
To have you rip out my heart

I write my emotions
And you slash them to death
Does this give you joy?
As it gives me pain

A cry for the insults
Give them to me directly
Or do you fear?
To confront life and love

If my words offend
I pity you, tell me!
The knife twists deeper
And I die a little more
