The best way to do double exposures is to sell your AE-1 and buy an A-1. Double exposures are done by pushing in a lever next to the film advance lever and advancing the film. The film is always very nicely registered. I don't mean to sound snobbish, but the A-1 makes such things as exposure compensation, substitute metering, double exposures etc, etc so smooth that I wonder why anyone who has Canon mount lenses doesn't get an A-1 body. It is FAR worth the extra $'s in the long run. And, note that I think it's just a good camera before you get to all the exposure mode stuff. Ah well, I guess I'm just a biased snob. David C.
