I have just recently started diving off the Oregon coast. I enjoy spear fishing, but am somewhat concerned about carrying chum next to me in waters where sharks are known to occasionally frequent. What I am wondering is this: do people who dive down off the California coast worry about it? Do you carry the speared fish with you in a goody bag, or make a float and surface after every kill and store the fish there? The float idea would work ok, except in kelp... any ideas? Comments? Thanx, Richard Austin ...!tektronix!tekig!richa
