It is just that type of information written by the Farnsworth's, West's Chessman and others that has given archealogical support for the Book of Mormon little credibilty. There is serious work done by Mormon archealogist and anthropologist that is starting to make a case for the Book of Mormon lands. These include individuals like John L. Sorenson. Although Sorenson's basic theory has not been published yet, the general idea is presented in a recent book by David Palmer "In Search of Cumorah".
