Patilla There are no Proudfoots on the Eastern Shore (my native swamp, now a fond memory) but there are Toadvines, which I have long thought worthy of a fantasy novel (and someday I might even write it). They fit right in with the towns named Red Lion, Pepperbox, Girdletree and Magnolia. j.c. patilla
