Perry:  I would like to inform you that the book "White Gold Wielder" is
out in paperback at bookstores like Dalton's and Waldenbooks.  I think
that you will find the Second Chronicles more fast paced and interesting
than the First.   About Donaldson writing under a pen name and writing
mystery novels I have not heard any thing.  Good luckin reading the
three volumes of the Second Chronicles and enjoy.  By the way I also
think that Donaldson is a marvelous writer and I have really enjoyed his
books.
