Hi.  I got tired of getting 'no news' messages, so here goes...
I've been reading netnews for 2.5 months now and really enjoy it.
I think it's a good way of getting to know poeple.  I can be pretty
quiet, and it's hard to meet folks in a new place.  The old "I'm shy"
business.

Well, I've found the cure.  It's lots easier to 'talk' to people on the
computer.  In fact, I can get verbose.  I think it's because I can edit
what I say.  Though I still put my foot in my mouth sometimes.

I've met two very nice people already (one here in NJ and one in Chicago),
and correspond with many more.  There are many diverse interests
represented here, so it's easy to get in touch with people who share 
your interests.
