I think I did something like ^[#5@_^H which set the double mode, then backspaced the cursor over the underscore. With the characters on the Incoterm 20-20 (yes, THAT) "" came out nice. With the Visual 200, I moved to "YES, SIRE? " (Gotta remember who's boss! 8-) What one could do (and has done) to others I won't discuss.
