Gene Barry was the Star.  He played Amos Burke a millionaire who
was also a homicide detective.  He'd show up at murder scenes in
his Rolls Royce.

The series was recently shown on channel 48 here in San Jose on 
Saturday afternoons preceded by The Third Man and followed by
Secret Agent Man (Danger Man to us Britons).

Speaking of the Third Man,  I used to watch this series years
(and years) ago in England.  I have vague memories of Michael
Rennie riding up a strange elevator up a cliff face during the
credits.  This never appeared in the shows on Channel 48. Am I
crazy?
