Hey! Now I feel really old. Some guy out there said his father would
know some western theme songs that became hits!

Ah yes, how could I forget The Rebel with Nick (later to be in numerous
Japanese science fictions, and killed himself - I don't think because
of these movies) Adams.
    The theme song was sung by none other than Johnny Cash, way before
    he became a big star.
      
       Johnny Yuma was a rebel, he roamed through the West.
       Yes Johnny Yuma was a rebel who wandered alone.
       He got fightin' mad this Rebel lad, (that's all this old man can
       remember)

       I know we could all buy a TV trivia book and get the answers
       to all these things, but it's more fun and challenging to try
       and remember. I can guage my senility against it!

Sky King - one of my favorites:
       "Out of the blue of the Western sky...comes Sky King (ZOOOM!),
        brought to you by Nabisco(ZOOOM)!"
        There was Uncle Sky and his niece, Penny and of course their
        airplane, The Songbird. No, I don't know the stars(to put it
        lightly) names nor the type of airplane it was. It was a twin 
        engine though.

Thanks to the one who answered The Guns of Will Sonnet. I do a pretty
good imitation of Walter Brennan and have used those lines for years.
It's nice to remember where they came from.

In regards to Wire Palladin, I also used to believe that Wire was the
way to reach him in San Francisco, but was later corrected by a so-called
trivia expert. I'm still not totally sure that Wire was his first name.

Stars on Seventy-seven Sunset Strip:
       The only names I can remember, although the pictures are still
       in my head are:
              Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (the F.B.I.) as ?
              Ed Burns as Kookie

        Hey, do you remember the hit song, Kookie Lend Me Your Comb?

Anyone remember Surfside 6

In answer to the gameshow theme song making it big: I'm just guessing
at the Match Game, with Gene Rayburn.

Hey! What about Science Fiction Theatre. Remember all the handy-dandy
electrical(I don't think electronics had been invented yet!) gizmos
at the beginning of the show?

H-A double R I, G-A-N spells Harrigan (I don't even know what it was about)

In answer to Wild Kingdom host, it was/is Marlin Perkins. His sidekick
   I don't remember anyone except an alligator!

Dark Shadows, a great soap in it's time. Barnabas Collins, the vampire.

I can attempt the old McDonald's theme(I used to work there):
    
     It goes something like this-
    
     McDonald's is your kind of place,
     that clean and snappy place,
     that good delicious taste                 I worked at the golden arches
                                               on Almaden Rd. in San Jose,
     that hap-hap-happy place,                 next to the Almaden Twin
     McDonald's is your kind of place.         Theatres (yes, I saw them
                                               built)

      I know it's not exact, but it's a start for someone else to finish.
      Someone is bound to have a book on TV commercials.
