Message-ID: <2185@utcsrgv.UUCP> Date: Mon, 5-Sep-83 00:44:41 EDT Article-I.D.: utcsrgv.2185 Posted: Mon Sep 5 00:44:41 1983 Date-Received: Mon, 5-Sep-83 02:49:40 EDT Organization: The Law Society of Upper Canada, Toronto Lines: 18 I'm sure this topic has been discussed many times before, but I haven't been subscribing to net.video in the past. Now we're looking at buying a VCR and wondering what to get. We've been told (by a Sanyo salesman) that Beta is catching up with VHS in popularity, and that Beta is better quality? Is this true? The Sanyo model we were looking at is the 6300. I would appreciate any recommendations people can MAIL as to what in their experience the best brand/model to buy is. We want it for renting movies and for (occasional?) taping stuff off TV for posterity. Cable-ready is important. I'll summarize what I get for the net.
