Co., Everett, Wash Lines: 22 Since DEC has recently reduced it's prices on the VAX 11/730 my engineering group is thinking about acquiring our own machine and moving off of a shared 11/780. If there is anyone running 4.1bsd on an 11/730 I would like to here from you. We are interested in how many engineers we can expect to put on one 11/730. Our com- puter usage on the 11/780 can be moderate to heavy at times. Some specific questions that come to mind are: 1) How is your system configured (memory, disk, etc.)? 2) How many users does your system support? 3) What is the typical system load? 4) At what load does the system become annoying to use? For questions 3 & 4 if you could supply run queue values from "uptime" that would be great. Even better would be statistics as given by "vmstat". Thanks in advance for any information.
