Rosemarie, the word "man" is also used to mean "human being", and "the
human race" (consult your favourite dictionary!). Do you use "mankind"
to refer to "the set of male Homo Sapiens"? Or "man-made" to mean "made
by a male human"?

Must we forever tilt at windmills?
