I had no idea this was such a issue. FYI i keep the seat up all
the time, except when I am washing the toilet and dont want to
smell the bleech, and truly thought that the seat was to keep the
bleech smell in. I dont have fuzzy things on my seat either...

actually, someone mentioned the Runs. Having spent the last weekend
sick with the same I can testify that on several occasions I was
very glad *not* to have the seat down, for i honestly don't think
I had the time to lift the seat. it was *that* close...
