Trees being worked are surrounded by large signs saying "MEN WORKING IN TREES." Unfortunately, these signs appear to be correct, since I have seen quite a few men up in the trees, but the only women around were on the ground picking up sticks/branches and putting them in the back of the truck. I don't know whether or not women were offered the option of going up in the trees, but if they weren't they should have been. I would imagine such hazardous work brings in bonus pay and such, and women have often been excluded from this sort of dangerous, higher-paying job. Whoever wrote the note on stress cycles in men and women, do you know if any research on this has been done? Wombat pur-ee!uiucdcs!uicsl!wombat
