When the notion of drafting women came up in Sweden a
few years ago, one of the generals said, in effect,
"sure, but only in non-combat positions."

At which point, an editorial writer for the major
Stockholm newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, said "A fine
idea.  If it works, maybe we could do the same
for men, too."
