San Diego, CS Dept Lines: 20 What good would having a net.women.only do? How could you keep it from getting overrun by aggressive males? (:-) kind of) How can you stop them from reading it? (You could set up a shell script to send a flame every 30 seconds to every male who contributes an article :-).) Seriously, the main point for having net.women.only is to have a forum for women. Why not make net.women fill this need? Nothing prevents any of you females out there from making this newgroup a group for women. You just have to contribute articles for women. If some rude, obnoxious person flames at you, flame back. That's what we all do in every other group. Finally, I resent being excluded from a group because my maleness supposedly implies that I know nothing about topics like monthly pain, etc. I feel that that is as offensive as people asking for "wise men" to reply to their queries on the net. My mother happens to be a physician, and both my mother and my sister get menstual (sp?) cramps. I might be able to provide useful knowledge (New drugs/progress/information/etc.), and I don't think that I should be excluded simply because of my sex. --Alan J. Hu sdcsvax!ajh
