Oh, geezus.  Look, I am VERY interested in the subject of monthly
cramps.  The woman I love and live with gets them.  I and she (she
has been known to read over my shoulder) are both interested in
their cause, nature, and relief, since her being miserable makes
me miserable.  Makeup I'm not interested in (except sociologically),
but I can always ignore those articles.  I fail to see why net.women.only
would make you feel more comfortable.  I certainly won't contribute,
but I sure will read it, as will many other men.  So you don't get
away from the public and dual-sexual nature of the audience; just
the contributors.
