I have taken it for inflamed tissue in my knees, and I know someone else who takes it for calcium deposits in the shoulder. It is chemically similar to aspirin and includes some ant-imflamatory agent(s). HOWEVER, it should be noted that Motrin causes mild to severe depression in some individuals and can really mess with your mind. I was taking Motrin for my knees at the same time I was dealing with a romantic breakup and some family problems, and the side-effect nearly pushed me over the edge. The doctor hadn't warned me..... I believe that Motrin is also sold under the name Rufen. I believe there are other possible side-effects too, so check it out. -- The padded cell of Gene Spafford CSNet: Spaf @ GATech ARPA: Spaf.GATech @ UDel-Relay uucp: ...!{akgua, allegra, sb1, ut-ngp, ut-sally}!gatech!spaf
