In response to your suggestion, I had heard of that
before, so far I haven't tried it out (for obvious
reasons).

Anyway, another fashion hint - put your fingernail polish
in the refridgerator - it will last forever and you 
can use it to the very last drop (literally).

I have thought of another one - use hairspray to get
out ink (even felt pen (if you work on it hard enough)).
And it won't leave a ring or stain (even on fine stuff).
