I bought it for $140, and I have had it for about 8 months. I am extremely happy with it, as the sound quality is simply tremendous. It is an FM receiver, with inputs for phono, aux, and tape. It comes with balance, bass, and treble controls as well as the obvious volume control. The spec's don't say how many watts it puts out, but I can't put the volume control more than half-way without bringing everyone on the floor screaming into my office. I also have a portable (walkman-type) cassette player connected to it, and it works like a charm. Life would be unbearable without it. I had looked at the KLH and PROTON, but when I saw the price of this unit, and then heard the sound quality, I was hooked.
