The same style fuse and holder is used on the BMW 2002 car and BMW Rxxx/7
series motorcycle. I have fixed the problem by cleaning the fuses with
"Soldernu" (a electronics component cleaner), then coating the fuse and
holder with CRC brand "Stor-N-Lube" spray (or equivalent).

On the car, it is very easy to respray the fuses (say, once in October).
This spray also helps stop corrosion on multi-contact connectors (used
on headlights, windscreen motor, etc.)
