The entire rear case and contents came from a junkyard a year ago and was installed by someone other than myself. Does anybody know of a reliable shop where I can have this done (pref. in Monmouth County)? I own a 1970 Pontiac GTO. I also need to have the 4-speed trans. rebuilt. I would attempt the job(s) myself but I don't have the knowledge - does anyone have any suggestions? Should I go to the dealer? Has anyone out there attempted a rebuild on a rear? Is there a good book explaining the procedure(s)?
