That is, a shot is one and a half. Some shot glasses have a line on them for the shot level, but will hold a little more. An ounce is 28 ml. If you are real adventurous you should convert your favorite recepies (sp) to weights and mls. For instance a cup of sifted flour is NOT the same as a cup of flour sifted. However, 100 grams of flour is the same whether sifted or not. Most Europeans cook by weight. There are many advantages in repeatibility and uniformity of results.
