what is the current status of the RSA system?  it has been rumered that
folks can forge the digital signature of an RSA system.  if so, how?

i have heard via the grapevine that the NBS *yuk* system can be reduced
to half target field and thus make an attack twice as easy.  any refs.
on such matters of reduction?
