Despite an annoying three hour stopover in Las Vegas (this was the cheapo-cheapo flight), both my flights left on time, my baggage was handled properly, and when I got to Oakland, I was able to leap off the plane, skip merrily down to the baggage pick-up area and snag my big blue backpack with no problem at all. Of course, Oakland is a medium sized airport that doesn't get used much because for some reason, one that I can't fathom, everyone else in the East Bay area goes to San Francisco airport, the worst-organized, busiest, badly place, farthest away airport around.
