 Socialism seems to work in Israel.  Socialism also works in monasteries.
The key point is that Socialism can work when the people involved have a
compelling common interest and/or personal devotion to a cause.  Note
that in both cases the people are there voluntarily and can leave at any
time.  Socialism would probably NOT work in a culturally diverse society
or when it is forced upon people.  Kindly compare apples with apples please.
