I mean, hey, BASIC's not exactly assembler, but you can't have EVERYTHING all the time, can you? Who needs all thoso wimpy control structures when the almighty GOTO is always right there when you need it? No muss, no fuss. No restrictions to get in the way. And why hassle with pointers or some such nonsense when you can PEEK and POKE at will? And who needs data structures anyway? And why should I have to bother declaring variables (yeeccchh!!) before I use them? What a waste of time and energy! My software engineering professor said it all a few years ago when he spoke of the "KISS" philosophy: Keep It Simple, Stupid. Hey, how much simpler than BASIC can you get? Hmmm... let's see now.. I'm supposed to put one of these gizmo's in here, right? :-) Roger "Let's Get Back to Basics" Bielefeld decvax!cwruecmp!cdcvax!rab
