I was moving slowly to the left (the bike was on my right) when the rider zoomed by me, catching his handlebar on my side. I was just nicked, and the bike didn't go down, but the rider was obviously severely the worse for drink or some other debilitating drug. He turned to me and sneered, "Why don't you stay where you belong? This is the BIKE LANE!!!" (note: There was only a sidewalk on one side of the street, and the road was way too busy and narrow to walk in) I have since seen this same rider (he doesn't deserve the term cyclist!) parking his bike at a local bar, AND I've discovered that he lives in my apartment complex. It has taken great strength of will to NOT take my Swiss Army Knife to his tires (especially since I'm positive he has no recollection of the incident). Please, cyclists, If you must drink, don't ride! Think what it'll do to the driver who can't avoid hitting you (even if you have no repect for us humble pedestrians). Thanks Ariel Shattan decvax!tektronix!tekecs!ariels
