You are a fine upstanding citizen of your community, and no doubt a good man all around. However, in response to your complaint that you had no handgun with which to "protect" yourself, I would like to ask one question: What if the drunkard had a handgun?? It seems to me that you got off very lightly, considering what a similar family quarrel would turn into in a state where handguns are legal. Even if you survived the firefight with not a scratch, you would have to live the rest of your life knowing that you killed a drunk man. The man that attacked you desprately needs psychiatric treatment, an Anti-alchoism counceler, and a stiff jail sentence.
