I immediately called the police. As a result of that action, no further damage was done to the wife, the husband was calmed down, and the wife was able to leave in SAFETY with her sister. In Karl's original article he stated that the woman left her apartment because she was scared about what her husband would do. That is why Karl joined her when she went down to her car. Given the FACTS, I feel calling the police WHEN SHE ARRIVED AND ASKED FOR HELP was a good idea and could have avoided much unpleasantness. I cannot guarantee that calling the police would have worked in this instance, but it sure did in mine. I also cannot guarantee that the husband would not have busted down the door, but remember he did not bust it down later, he started to force his way in a partially opened door. As you said jj, neither of us was there so it is hard for us to judge what would have been best for THAT instance. All I can relate is a time when calling the police AS SOON AS TROUBLE WAS NOTICED worked out well for EVERYONE. OZ seismo!rlgvax!oz
