Lines: 34 How right you are. As a dog owner, with two large dogs that produce their own piles, it bothers me no end that my neighbor lets his dog run loose in my yard, leaving his piles in my yard. My dogs are never let run loose, nor should they be. Most places have dog leash laws, and many places now have dog-scoop laws. I am fully in favor of these. As to how to get the dogs to leave your yard alone? 2 possible solutions: 1. Get some dog-off or dag-gone or dog-away or any of the related products. They work fine until it rains again. 2. Better yet, if you ever catch the dog(s) that is doing it, catch them, tie them up, and call the dog pound. Or, if you know who the owner is, wait until 2:30am the next night and call the owner. Tell him if he isn't there in ten minutes you will shoot the dog. (Don't actually shoot it though, if he doesn't come over to get it, and clean up the dog messes while he is there, then give the dog to the local pound, and sign a complaint against the dog owner. In many places this will prevent the owner from recovering the dog, or will cause the owner to pay large fines to get the dog back. Maybe then he will value it more.) While I am on the subject.....One of my pet peeves is dog-owners that allow their dogs to ride in the back of an open pickup. The ASPCA says this is the largest cause of accidental death to dogs. While your dog has been lucky so far, it is very easy to throw him from the back when you have to swerve to miss the dog that some other owner has just let run! Enough, or I won't be able to stop...
