Lines: 28 How many people out there have been victimized by insurance companies? Let me relate a short story.. I had not had a moving violation for 5 years, and have never had a motor vehicle accident. My wife hadn't had a moving violation for 8 years, or an accident for 13 (she has only had 1). In Aug. of '82 my wife was given a speeding ticket for going 32 in a 25. The fact of the matter is that she was coasting down a steep incline (in a non-residential area), and there was a cop at the bottom waiting for her. 1 month later she was involved in an accident ($150 damage), during a chain- reaction, rush-hour type fender-bender. Due to the setting, the state patrolman declined to issue her a citation. Our insurance company decides that our account has seen too much activity, and promptly cancels us. Now it costs us 4 TIMES AS MUCH FOR LESS COVERAGE. What the hell do we pay insurance for anyway? Why should these bozos have the right to operate in this fashion? Seething in Seattle, J.
