They were added in the Bill of Rights, a set of amendments (CHANGES) shortly after. It is difficult but not impossible to change the constitution. It is also "legal" to call a constitutional convention and throw out the entire thing. The sword above our heads is on a very strong string, but it's there nonetheless. --Dick W...
