Co., Everett, Wash Lines: 19 Speaking of pets and their lazy owners, does anyone have any suggestions for dealing with the neighbors' cats?? What are effective ways (preferrably humane) to keep the cats from leaving their deposits in the garden and flower beds? Seems like the owners of the things NEVER provide a sandbox (or equivalent substitute) for their animals, and they rarely if ever turn over the soil in their own yard... Obviously, cats cannot comprehend property lines, and they seem to have no trouble scaling even an 8' fence. And getting an aggressive dog is not much of a 'solution,' since it would make even larger messes. [Now for the flame: the problem is that the pet owners enjoy the (doubtful) "BENEFITS" of having the cat. But everyone else in the neighborhood ends up bearing one of the more disgusting parts of the "COSTS" of ownership... shields up.]
